Totally Sound Golf Day
April saw just enough relief from the hectic summer pace to see the team heading off in a bus on a much deserved day out. First stop was a par 3 golf course. With eskies full the crew put in a round of golf the likes of which the kangaroos had never seen before. The laugh muscles got a good work out as the novices through to the serious contenders windied, hooked and hacked their way to the last hole.
Kerry, a rank outsider is runner up!
A few drinks and some interesting technique saw Kerry's game improve as the day went on. Kerry was runner up.......and is now secretly practicing so she can win next year!
Damien takes out the main prize
Where grace and pizzaz eluded most of us, Damien clearly a golfer from way back gave this shabby team a glimmer of brilliance. This generally humble, mild mannered gentleman felt it necessary to crow in Dereks presence, having won the wager. Not that beating Derek is much of an achievement, even Derek's wife managed to do that! At the conclusion of the game the crew headed off to Bootleg Brewery for some hearty 'bloke' food and a little more refined amber fluid. A great day had by all and something set to become an annual event.
