<link>http://www.totallysound.com.au/news/latest_news/news_at_totally_sound/47</link>
<description>April and May have continued to keep the crew at Totally Sound pretty busy.&#38;nbsp; The&#38;nbsp;Traineeship is ticking along nicely, with Caleb only a couple of months away from finishing his two year Cert III.&#38;nbsp; Jared, our newest trainee has got off to a great start and as we head into winter we look forward to providing lots of training opportunities for the crew.
On the gig front...
The Cat Empire, with support from Saskwatch and Matt Gresham, launched the South West Autumn Racing Carnival at the Graham Bricknell Music Shell.&#38;nbsp; Tickets included admission to Bunbury Stakes Day, which was a nice touch.
&#38;nbsp;
Ryan was lucky enough to spend some time with the crew from Audiotechnic at Groovin' the Moo

The crew at Totally Sound installed 3 x 55" TVs and a three zone &#38;nbsp;sound system with Ipod control into the new Anytime Fitness at Australind. Great looking gym!
&#38;nbsp;
Derek&#38;nbsp;and good friend&#38;nbsp;Dean from Lomax Media&#38;nbsp;headed off to the Hilton in Melbourne with Esther Price Promotions for the Dairy Australia Countdown Symposium.&#38;nbsp; Wives stayed home, but next time....

Derek also worked with Esther Price Promotions on the Dairy Innovators Conference on a dairy farm in Scott River.&#38;nbsp;Challenging weather conditions, but a great conference.

Current Event Management and Fermoy Estate presented a lovely evening of fine wine and classic&#38;nbsp;jazz in the beautiful grounds of Fermoy Estate.&#38;nbsp; Local trio Elixir supported visiting US artist Marilyn Keller and her six piece band.

<link>http://www.totallysound.com.au/news/latest_news/20_years_of_blues_at_bridgetown/44</link>
<description>Great to once again be part of the Bridgetown&#38;nbsp;Blues festival, especially on this, their 20th year.&#38;nbsp;Quite a milestone. &#38;nbsp;All the usual entertainment was there, great Blues music, street theatre, the bustling street party and added to the program this year was the "Peoples Choice' awards. The Totally Sound team were busy with lighting and sound for the intimate Festival Club, the Blue Owls Nest, the Geegelup Stage, Lotteries West Stage and the Bridgetown Hotel.&#38;nbsp; Weather was as can be expected in Bridgetown, hot, cold, wet, dry and everything in between.

<link>http://www.totallysound.com.au/news/latest_news/new_line_array_system_for_bunbury_entertainment_centre/39</link>
<description>The team at Totallysound have recently completed an upgrade to the sound system at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.&#38;nbsp; The centre now boasts a sexy new Turbosound Flexarray System, 5 elements and 1 double 18 inch sub per side. An amplifier upgrade (4 x Lab 10 000Q and 1 x Lab 9000) was completed last year in preparation for the new system.&#38;nbsp; We called on the expertise of Engineer Peter Suckling to design the flying hardware and our friends at Spurling Engineering built the mounting bars.

<link>http://www.totallysound.com.au/news/latest_news/huge_weekend_at_the_nannup_music_festival/38</link>
<description>The annual Nannup Music Festival held over the March long weekend is always a colourful, festive event with a wonderful line up of talent. Nannup is a really beautiful little town and it comes alive with five stages of music, talent awards,&#38;nbsp;lanes of food vans, so many colourful stalls, kids activities&#38;nbsp;and of course the ever entertaining buskers and clowns.&#38;nbsp; There really is something for everyone.
Totally Sound provided the sound and lighting to all the stages over the weekend.&#38;nbsp; The line up of talent was amazing; Bobby Alu, Tin Pan Orange, Lanie Lane, Adalita,&#38;nbsp;The Amazing Drumming Monkeys, Swamp Thing to name a few. There were international and local artists all bringing something different to the stage.&#38;nbsp; You could sense the crowd were loving it. Proof was in the line of people in the wee small hours of Sunday morning gathering to book their camp spot for next year!
What a priveledge to be part of such a wonderful event. Congrats to the Festival Committee and all the local people who come together each year to make it happen.&#38;nbsp;

<item><title>Boyup Brook Country Music Festival</title>
<link>http://www.totallysound.com.au/news/latest_news/boyup_brook_country_music_festival/36</link>
<description>Awesome crowd at the festival this year!
With vans, a truck and two caravans, the Totally Sound&#38;nbsp;convoy fitted right in with the rest of the caravans heading to Boyup Brook for the annual Country Music Festival.
The crew set up camp behind the stage in the music park.&#38;nbsp; Getting a bit more comfortable ever year, with caravans, camp chairs, shade shelter,&#38;nbsp; even cooks on hand (Nat and Kez).&#38;nbsp;
No time to admire the view though.&#38;nbsp; The packed program runs from Thursday to Sunday and includes shows at the Harvey Dickson's Music Centre, a Street Stage, Ute Muster, Bush Poets and of course all the entertainment on the purpose built stage at the Music Park. There is also the West Australian Country Music Awards Gala Presentation Evening.
There was an amazing array of entertainment, certainly something for everyone.&#38;nbsp; Headliners the 'Songbirds'; Beccy Cole, Sara Storer and Gina Jeffreys wowed the sellout crowd and&#38;nbsp;Pixie Jenkins kept the laughs coming all weekend.&#38;nbsp; The Bush Poets stirred many emotions, some serious,&#38;nbsp;others had the crowd giggling as they munched on their traditional Sunday morning bacon and egg roll.
Had some great feedback about the sound and lighting production from the crowd and performers.&#38;nbsp; The organising committee are a wonderful bunch of people to work with and should be congratulated on yet another great festival weekend.

<description>Just got back from another Bridgetown Blues.&#38;nbsp; Such a beautiful place and the festival is a credit to all those who make it happen.&#38;nbsp; Everyone at Totally Sound (even the office girls) and a fantastic group of audio engineers who come and join us for these bigger events spent 4 days in Bridgetown.&#38;nbsp; Our crew were responsible for the sound at the Bridgetown Hotel, the Street Stage, the Youth Stage, the Festival Club, Blue Owls and Geegelup.&#38;nbsp;As usual there was plenty of amazing talent on the various stages over the weekend. For the crew there was lots of hard work, mixed with some great comradery and a few good laughs making for a memorable weekend.&#38;nbsp;

The PA installed consists of D&#38;amp;B Mini Line Array and a Digital Consol.&#38;nbsp; Lighting includes three lighting bars, patchbay, dimmers and control.&#38;nbsp; The audiovisual components are 2 x 3.6m screen and 2 x 6000 lumen Panasonic Projectors, run by a Crestron Control System.
This latest digital technology provides a simple interface to what is a relatively complex system.

Totally Sound have been accredited with the Events Industry Association since September 2004.&#38;nbsp; Every year around this time, the lovely Cassandra Brennan heads down the highway to Bunbury to do our onsite survey.&#38;nbsp;This review&#38;nbsp;process&#38;nbsp;no longer&#38;nbsp;requires massive effort like it did initially, as we have reached a point where the crew are on board and policy and procedure updates and changes occur as required throughout the year.&#38;nbsp; It does however provide an opportunity to stop and take a look at your business, check how changes that have been made are working and review legislative compliance.&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;

<item><title>Totally Sound Annual Golf Challenge</title>
<link>http://www.totallysound.com.au/news/latest_news/totally_sound_annual_golf_challenge/9</link>
<description>
Blustery weather was not going to stop the much anticipated Totally Sound annual golf challenge.&#38;nbsp; There had been much trash talk leading up to the big day, the day that would see another name on the Challenge Day plaque.&#38;nbsp; It was all a bit more upmarket this year.&#38;nbsp; Golf at the Dunsborough Lakes Golf Course followed by lunch at beautiful Caves House.&#38;nbsp; We also sorted a bit of a handicap so that the &#38;#39;non golfers&#38;#39; amoungst us stood a fair chance at the title.

After a brief stop for good coffee, it was off to Dunsborough Lakes.&#38;nbsp; The title is very appropriate, I think there were at least 5 balls swallowed up by the lakes during the day.&#38;nbsp; It was decided that we would tee off in two groups....those that could....and those that could not.&#38;nbsp; Funnily enough, those that could did not necessarily do so on the day!&#38;nbsp; Derek reigned supreme for the second year in a row.&#38;nbsp; Nat was not far behind, followed by a now somewhat subdued Damien.&#38;nbsp; Most improved on the day was young Ryan, who scored 23 on the first hole (par 4), but was doing very well for himself by the end of the game.&#38;nbsp; He is definately one to watch for next year.

Then it was off to Caves House for some fab food and absolutely beautiful red wine in front of the fireplace.&#38;nbsp; The venue was very quiet when we arrived, but we soon changed that.&#38;nbsp; Especially after Kerry had had a few wines!&#38;nbsp; All in all a great day out for the team.&#38;nbsp; Let the rivalry begin for 2011!

&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;

&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp; Are we there yet?&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;Yes Ryan, it is a bit like a car!&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp; Really Kerry, any excuse!

<description>
Totally Sound was again contrated to provide production for six stages at the Nannup Music Festival.&#38;nbsp; The main stage, the amphitheatre, was an opportunity for us to trial the new Digidesign SC48 digital console, which Damien very quickly fell in love with.&#38;nbsp; Our new Turbosound Flex Array speaker system covered every seat in the house with crystal clear sound and we received many positive comments from artists, organsiers and festival goers about the quality of the sound.

John Butler (in solo mode) charmed a packed amphitheatre with a really special, intimate performance as the headline act on the Saturday evening.&#38;nbsp; The combination of picturesque Nannup, beautiful balmy weather and fantastic entertainment meant for a rather exceptional experience over the long weekend.&#38;nbsp;

<description>
It was an extra special year for the organising committee of the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival.&#38;nbsp; Twenty Five years on and the event is stronger than ever.&#38;nbsp; Headlined by Tanya Kernigan and showcasing an impressive line up of country talent, the event encompassed the usual ute muster, dancing, music and the very popular Bush Poets Breakfast.&#38;nbsp; Totally Sound are proud to have had a long association with this iconic event and it was terrific for the team to be there on this special occasion.

The event provided a great opportunity to fly the new Turbosound Flex Array System.&#38;nbsp; The crew plotted the site into the Ease Software and were impressed with how this related to the live site.&#38;nbsp; The results were exceptional.

The team camped at the back of the stage and it has to be said that the camp setup has reached an all new level of sophistication.&#38;nbsp; Make no mistake these lads are not &#38;#39;roughing&#38;#39; it. The camp is quite an elaborate arrangement complete with shower, and cooks (Kerry and Nat)!
